As we all know, the amount of abrasion on the coast is caused by many things, one of which is humanity. The large amount of destruction of mangrove forests on the coast makes abrasion unavoidable. Therefore, when there was a Mangrove Forest Rehabilitation Program in Indonesia by the Pasuruan District Military Command, PT. Intim Harmonis Foods Industri immediately participated in the event. Considering that our company is located in the Pasuruan area, we do not want to be left behind in preserving the environment around our area. We support activities like this because they have a good impact on the environment.

We gave a total of 100 goodie bags to the Pasuruan District Military Command on Friday 12 May 2023 for the officers who took part in the mangrove planting event. The planting event was held on Monday 15 May 2023 at Penunggul Beach which is located in Penunggul Village, Nguling District, Pasuruan Regency. East Java Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Akhmad Yusep Gunawan and East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elistianto Dardak who accompanied Brawijaya Military Commander V Major General Army Farid Makruf also participated in planting mangroves on this beach.

The event was opened by holding a zoom meeting with the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo in the context of planting mangroves nationally. In his remarks, the President of the Republic of Indonesia said that mangrove planting was being carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia in 37 provinces. Mangroves are natural protection, especially in coastal areas in Indonesia. “We have the largest mangroves in the world and some of them need to be rehabilitated so that all elements need to work together to improve mangrove forests in Indonesia.” Said the President of the Republic of Indonesia.

Ir. H. Joko Widodo added, Mangroves are very important and let us work together to restore natural habitat by replanting and will continue to do so. “For all mangrove plantings, so that after planting they can be cared for and maintained,” concluded Ir. H. Joko Widodo. It is hoped that mangrove planting can prevent coastal erosion, act as a catalyst for land and sea water, become a fisheries habitat, provide a broad economic impact, and develop tourism areas.
